‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 2 trailer: Cat’s search for Vincent the focus (video)

No matter what it takes, Catherine is not going to let Vincent die on “Beauty and the Beast.” This is at least the impression that we are taking from the brand-new trailer from the show’s second season, which crams quite a bit of new footage into the span of just one minute. Are you excited after watching this for Monday, October 7? We’re betting that you are, at least if you enjoyed most of what the show brought you last year.

The trailer begins with Cat questioning where Vincent is, and her fears surrounding Muirfield and what could be happening to him. This leads to a chase, proclamations of love, and her turning into the hero while Vincent adopts more of the damsel-in-distress role. It’s a pretty cool opportunity to see just how far the two characters have really come over the course of the past year, and the clip ends with some gunfire and a few cool camera shots.

The premiere date this year is Monday, October 7, which is certainly a tricky date. It will be up against some pretty-dominant competition in “The Voice,” “Dancing with the Stars,” and “2 Broke Girls,” and the only real reprieve could come from Fox, who is airing an unknown in “Sleepy Hollow.” Also, is there really much of a crossover audience between this show and “Hart of Dixie”? We don’t really see much of a theme there, and they tried that last year with “Hart of Dixie” and “Emily Owens MD,” and it failed to work out very well.
