‘So You Think You Can Dance’ finale preview: Why Aaron Turner, Amy Yakima should win

While tonight may not be the final episode of “So You Think You Can Dance,” it is the last hour in which we are going to have an opportunity to vote on the remaining dancers to win this season. It’s all up to the voters now, and what we’re looking at right now is a pretty intense competition featuring four people that have all had some pretty incredible moments over the course of the season.

On the guy side, we have Aaron Turner and Fik-Shun, two guys with completely different styles, but really excel in something similar: Charisma. They throw themselves into routines, work extremely hard, and also are great entertainers when they get out on stage. It’s what helps them when they do have little stumbles here and there.

We still feel like this is Aaron’s contest to lose, though: Tonight he is getting the opportunity to seemingly do a tap routine with a partner for the first time all season, and he has never been in the bottom once all season long. He’s already the most-successful tapper in the show’s history, and there’s no reason for that to change now. We just find his story all the more incredible since he was originally an alternate for the live shows.

As for the women, the race is even more competitive. Both Amy Yakima and Jasmine Harper have faced danger once before, and they are each incredible at what they do. We feel like they both are great storytellers that have shown all sides of their personalities, and while we lean slightly towards Amy as the winner, this is really going to come down to the routines tonight. If they both perform well, America will have their hands full. It could very well come down to who performs last, or what all-stars help to get out the vote.
