‘Under the Dome’ spoilers: How the Fourth Hand plays a role in the final three episodes
It’s been a long and successful summer for “Under the Dome,” but now, the hit CBS series is getting set to wind things down for the year. But before those end credits roll, we know that there are plenty of questions out there that many viewers understandably have.
So what is one of those questions? The easy one is just what the meaning could be for Junior being the Fourth Hand, and also what happens when that caterpillar living inside of the mini-dome eventually does turn into a monarch butterfly. While there are some mysteries that will surely carry over into season 2, you don’t have to worry about these going unaddressed.
When it comes to the Fourth Hand, executive producer Neal Baer promises to TV Guide that you are going to have some answers on this subject very soon:
“The last three episodes dive deeply into exploring that question. The power of the four hands will soon be revealed.”
As for the discussion of the Monarch and the caterpillar, Baer was understandably more than a little bit cryptic on the subject:
“All we know is that the caterpillar has the potential to turn into a Monarch butterfly. So the question is how this Monarch butterfly, trapped under the mini-dome, will lead to the crowning of ‘The Monarch.”
Are you intrigued now? We definitely are, especially since these are not threads that the writers will dangle in our faces forever.
