‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6: A twist for Charlie Hunnam, Maggie Siff, and more
We’ve got a couple of “Sons of Anarchy” stories to drive in your direction today, and we’ll start off with a nice little teaser that has come out about the first handful of episodes. Don’t worry, there are no major spoilers: We wouldn’t do that to you! This is more along the lines of speculation to debate with your friends.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Charlie Hunnam and Maggie Siff’s respective characters of Jax and Tara are going to be facing a “curveball” in the episodes airing early this season; but, it won’t be made apparent within the first episode just what this curveball is. Apparently, Tara being in jail, and Jax leading an organization in SAMCRO that is practically obsessed at this point with danger, are not big enough problems for these two to overcome. This, dear readers, is what we like to call “upping the ante” again and again.
As for another cryptic little detail about the show itself this year, creator Kurt Sutter’s recent tweet of “#ANARCHYAFTERWORD” certainly seems to suggest that “Anarchy Afterword” is going to be the name of the aftershow that follows select episodes (namely, three of them) during the season. FX has still not confirmed this name, and the word is still out on who will be the host or what the specific format of the show will be. We like the suggested name, though: It has the alliteration going for it, and it also has the same sort of the poetic edge to it as “Sons of Anarchy” itself.
The anarchy will start in full on Tuesday, September 10 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, and you can view the haunting / electrifying new promo here. Early suggestions are that this will be the most violent season yet, and the show is not going to waste any time trying to prove that.
