We’ll start this “Sons of Anarchy” article with what some of you may have assumed already, given that you may have spotted him in one of the show’s recent trailers: Dave Navarro is back in action. The rock star / “Ink Master” host was confirmed last night by Kurt Sutter on Twitter to be back with his role as Primo from the Byz Lats, though it is not clear just how long he will be around for. Navarro turned out to be great casting: He fits in well with the world, and despite being a recognizable name, it still does not feel like he’s a rock star in a room with actors.
Navarro is one of many returning actors for the season, joining the likes of Donal Logue, Jimmy Smits, and Drea de Matteo as guests from last season coming back for more. Given his schedule, it’s hard to imagine that he would be a major player throughout season 6, but it’s never a particularly good idea to assume anything with a show that killed off one of its most-popular people on the cast in Opie last year.
On a slightly-different note, we also have the newest “Sons of Anarchy” promo below if you have not seen it just yet. This clip is similar to some that have surfaced in the past week, but it’s in extremely high quality and reminds us even more of how terrifying Donal Logue is going to be. Pretty much everyone is danger here except for maybe Otto, who will probably miraculously survive even past the show for some unknown reason and end up becoming like the Black Knight from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.”
This has been an exciting week when it comes to “Sons of Anarchy” promotion, as FX has released some of the first images from the show’s September 10 premiere, and also some other assorted details on what could lie ahead for SAMCRO.
