‘New Girl’ season 3 spoilers: Jess seeks out Nick advice … from an unlikely source

“New Girl” season 3 will be looking at least early on to be a journey in exploration, and we are just happy that this journey is not going to be leading directly to a breakup between Nick and Jess. That’s the first good news that we have to report right now. While we can make no guarantees at all about the future of the characters in the long-term, they are at least going to be able to make it a few episodes into the season. Whew. So sit back and take a few deep breaths over that.

According to E! News, the fourth episode of this upcoming season is particularly going to carry with it a pretty hysterical twist on the classic dynamic of two people trying to figure out one another’s chemistry, both inside and outside of the bedroom. What may come as somewhat of a surprise is where one of them chooses to get their advice from as to what the other likes. In order to learn more about Nick, Jess is going to turn to … Schmidt. Seriously. Maybe these two talk about this sort of thing. We don’t know, and to be honest we’re not sure if we want to know.

But anytime that you can get Max Greenfield mixed up in matters of the heart, we know that this is something you really have to celebrate. He is a very funny man, and most of his advice will probably be terrible. If this ends up becoming a reprisal of that bedroom scene with Zooey Deschanel and Justin Long, we are probably going to be in for a treat. (Also, it would be appreciated if Nick acts out part of his screenplay in the middle of it.)

Next to getting more details on the return of Coach to the show, this may very well be some of the best news that we could have received.
