‘True Blood’ season 7 spoilers: Will Alexander Skarsgard’s Eric die? Fate revealed!
After a painful past 36 hours or so, there is now one answer related to “True Blood” season 7 that we can officially hand down: The fate of one Eric Northman. We’re not going to keep you waiting her for very long, so if you want to avoid any and all spoilers, just stop reading now.
Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Brian Buckner confirmed that Alexander Skarsgard will not only be back for the show’s seventh season, but that he would be doing so in the all-important position of a series regular. This means that there is no reason whatsoever to worry about whether or not Eric is going to die atop of that mountain in Sweden, because he’s not. He’s not going anywhere, and the real question that will remain over the next nine or so months is how the character will be back.
We personally find this news to be even more satisfying thanks to all of the rumors all year long from people exclaiming that Eric is going to die this year. There is probably an intense level of concern surrounding the character mostly due to the fact that Skarsgard is a pretty sought-after actor now, and he’s going to want to do other things. Luckily, “True Blood” is at least a show with a pretty substantial amount of time where he can go and work on other projects, and he even has some off days during shooting thanks to the sheer size of the ensemble cast.
Also, Buckner confirms that even though there are going to be some infected vampires heading into Bon Temps following the Hepatitis V outbreak, this is not going to feel like “The Walking Dead” with vampires. There are some different wrinkles to it, and some new hints with the story that are going to be presented to us early next year when the show returns.

I think Alexander Skarsgard has worked hard enough on this show that he should get a spinoff to allow Buckner to complete his vision.
