‘White Collar’ season 5 spoilers: Matt Bomer featured in first teaser (video)

Now is the time for “White Collar” fans to become a little bit more excited. It was just a few days ago that it was confirmed that Thursday, October 17 was going to be the official premiere date for the USA show’s fifth season, and now, we have an official teaser to go along with it!

So does this give away the entire season? Not exactly, but it does serve as a nice little reminder that Matt Bomer is still amazing, and that there is some action and intrigue coming up this season. Filming has been taking place now for several months, and we expect that there will probably be a more substantial trailer coming as we get closer to the show actually airing.

What we can tell you right now about this new season is this:

1. There will be new guest stars, including Bridget Regan as a prospective love interest for Neal Caffrey.

2. Peter’s prospective jail problem is going to have some major snags, including a woman showing up from his past that could cause some trouble in his relationship with Elizabeth.

3. For the first time since the pilot, Mark A. Sheppard is going to turn up for an arc of some sort, which poses some more threats to Neal given that he is going to be looking for some measure of payback.

If you are a new fan hoping to tune in, here is a very quick / easy reason why you should: This is not the sort of show that is going to force you into watching the first four seasons. It may take an episode or two to get you fully immersed into the world, but after that, you should be relatively good to go.
