‘True Blood’ season 6, episode 9 preview: A Terry Bellefleur flashback
For those who are still mourning the loss of Terry Bellefleur on “True Blood,” trust us: We understand. It was a tough pill to swallow, given that he is one of the good guys on a show that pretty much screams “bad boys rule” the vast majority of the time. He was just troubled, and while there were supernatural elements involved with his tale, it was still far more human that what most of these other people in Bon Temps are going through.
So are you still trying to heal this wound? Be prepared to have some salt poured in it. The video below is a flashback to some of Terry’s earlier days, in particular to how Sam Merlotte first bonded with him in the days after the war. It shows of once again that before all of this vampire nonsense really started in Bon Temps, Sam was a genuinely nice guy who simply had a desire to help others, and he would do so in just about any way that he could. This means even throwing a bone to Sheriff Andy, one of his most-frequent customers.
The significance of Terry’s death now is that it is a reminder that life matters for everyone, an oddly appropriate statement given that this is also the title for this episode. The recent teasers for the hour suggest that there is an epic battle coming, and it’s one that is going to rely heavily on the actions of everyone in an effort to save some of the kinder vampires that the state of Louisiana have seen. Terry’s funeral Sunday is a unifier; meanwhile, the situation happening with the vampires right now should serve as a motivator.
We’ll have another promo tomorrow for “Life Matters,” so be sure to check back then.
