‘The Bachelorette’: Remember Desiree Hartsock and Drew Kenney? Here’s a video…

We realize that we are guilty of this just as much as anyone else who has written or talked about “The Bachelorette” this season, but let’s face it: At times, hasn’t it been a little difficult to really remember that there are two other guys on this show not named Brooks Forester? After Desiree Hartsock’s longtime favorite melted down and decided that he wasn’t ready to love her the same way that she loved him, she openly said that neither Drew nor Chris were the one that was right for her.

So to have this knowledge, and then to go back and watch this deleted scene from Monday night’s show, it’s pretty darn awkward. She tries to look like she is into the date and buying what he’s selling, but she’s really not feeling much standing there and watching him order all of this crazy food and Antigua. Meanwhile, Drew’s confessional is pretty much the verbal equivalent of lighting candles and pouring a glass of wine.

What we’re mostly curious about with Drew is whether or not there is anything that he can do to endear himself to be the next “Bachelor,” since he’s definitely not winning this. While he has his heart in the right place for the gig and the ladies seem to love him online, there’s also one other problem in that he’s pretty serious. What made Sean Lowe great was the balance between a soften side and his inner prankster, and we’d love to see that come out more here.
