‘American Horror Story: Coven’ spoilers: Denis O’Hare returning!

American Horror StoryBack before we even knew that “American Horror Story” was going to have the word “Coven” attached to it, we wrote an article explaining the five actors that we felt absolutely needed to have their presence felt on the FX series again. While most of them are still floating around out there and may not be back, we now know for certain that Denis O’Hare will.

In a post on his Twitter account (and his first actually since the death of “Glee” star Cory Monteith), executive producer Ryan Murphy confirmed that the Emmy nominee, who last surfaced during the show’s first season, is now going to be around again. However, there is no word just yet on who the actor will play; based on his work from other shows, it is probably not going to be either a bloodthirsty vampire and former “King of Mississippi,” or a judge in a major court system. Murphy is a whiz at finding new roles for actors, and he’s very likely to do the same thing here with a man who is clearly a loyal soldier.

With the premiere date for the show less than three months away, FX is still being very secretive when it comes to what they want to share and when. They used a pretty elaborate campaign for last year’s “Asylum”-themed show, and while the ratings were not exactly the home run, the mastery of an Emmy loophole and some great performances led to it being one of the top-nominated shows earlier this month.

Are you stoked about O’Hare’s coming back, and what do you want for his character? If you do want to read the other names we had on our list earlier this year, we’d certainly be honored. Check it out here.
