‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: Meet the priest from Booth’s past!

BonesIf you are by any means a “Bones” fan, this is probably the casting that you have been waiting to find out some details on: The former priest who turns out to be rather imperative on establishing the sort of man that Booth was in the past, and also helping to pave the way for a certain wedding in the future.

So who’s going to be playing the part? The mystery is now (thankfully) over. Mather Zickel, best known for his comedic work on some shows including “House of Lies” and the short-lived “Man Up,” will potentially recur as Aldo Coulter, this ex-priest turned bar owner who Booth meets up with. The reason for the reunion is pretty simple: As a Catholic, Booth feels awful for stopping a marriage that he felt was destined to happen, and he needs some sort of spiritual guidance … apparently from a guy who now seems more interested in trading Scotch than Bible verses.

Now, what we are pretty curious about right now is pretty simple: Is there really a way to have Booth’s current awful situation end without Pelant coming in and crashing the party? This villain is someone that has to be dealt with if our characters ever want to be happy, which is why we believe he will be shaken down sooner rather than later. At this point, we don’t even really know what sort of stunts the man could even do to make life any more awful for these people.

This is the second major “Bones” season 9 casting scoop that we’ve had today, and it follows up the announcement that Freddie Prinze Jr. is joining the show in a role that is not out of a 1990s teen movie (hooray for that).
