‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: Freddie Prinze Jr. on board in mysterious role

BonesGood news for fans of the year 1999: Freddie Prinze Jr. is about to be hitting the spotlight again, for a multi-episode arc on Fox’s hit “Bones.” So who will he be playing? The first thing that we can tell you is that his character is not that priest from Booth’s past that you’ve been hearing so much about, the one that possesses the capabilities to help he and Brennan walk down the aisle.

Rather, TVLine claims that Prinze will be on board for an arc, but as a mysterious man named Danny who is a dangerous CIA agent. Like the priest, he does have a connection to Booth’s past, but in this case he is going to have some sort of involvement in a murder investigation that will really start to get going in the season premiere on Monday, September 16.

“Bones” season 9 is picking up on what really is a pretty interesting position, given that Pelant has basically forced Booth to pull the plug on the marriage plans for the time being. This means that David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel’s characters may not necessarily be in the most amazing place ever; there could be apprehension, nervousness, or just a general feeling that they aren’t going to make it at all. We just hope that the show can get back to a sense of fun pretty quickly, rather than just focusing on the tragedy and the sadness associated with all this relationship drama.

Do you think that Prinze is going to bring some pretty great entertainment to “Bones” this season, regardless of how long he ends up sticking around? If you want to read some more scoop on how the priest enters the fold, just be sure to check out the link here.
