‘Under the Dome’ episode 5 preview: First look at ‘Blue on Blue’
Now that Monday night’s “Under the Dome” episode is over, it is time for us to answer a valuable question moving forward: What happens next? “Outbreak” was certainly a violent episode at times, and at least in some ways, “Blue on Blue” has the potential to be a little bit more of an emotional hour.
For some more news on what you can expect, take a look first and foremost of the official synopsis that was released from CBS prior to Monday night’s installment airing:
“The Chester’s Mill residents receive an unexpected visit from their loved ones on the other side. Meanwhile, the community braces for a threat from outside the Dome.”
So basically, the obsession with the outside world, and also the two worlds at times bleeding together, are two things that are not going to go away anytime soon. The character development between Barbie and Julia in particular has been strong, and thanks to that, we also don’t mind some of the elements to the story that are in some ways episodic.
Then again, it will be hard for anything to feel episodic if all of these characters are dead. That is the situation that we could be looking at here, as the military is planning to throw a missile straight into the dome. So that family visit? It’s not really about saying hello; instead, it is about having a proper farewell before the possibility of death arrives courtesy of the government.
