‘Under the Dome’ episode 4 review: Julia becomes suspicious of Barbie
Since the premiere of “Under the Dome”, the episodes that have followed seem to really just be setting up the picture for us of just how deep in trouble the townsfolk of Chester’s Mill really are, so lets see what was in store for us tonight.
The military has decided to leave Chester’s Mill and the town is scared, but when an epidemic starts (they think meningitis) hitting the residents of the town, people learn what real fear is. Linda and Phil are the first two people to feel ill and pass out, but the number quickly climbs. There is not enough antibiotics to go around and while Jim goes off to find more, he gives Junior a gun and tells him to make sure no one leaves the hospital. When the mob mentality starts and everyone wants to leave, Junior starts shooting up the place, but he instead to convinces them all to stay with his words. Linda sees what Junior did and offers him a spot on the force.
Jim goes to the pharmacy only to find it cleaned out. His suspicions of Rev. Lester taking the drugs turn out to be right and he’s able to recover them to help everyone get better.
Julia is getting suspicious of Barbie, but just as she starts her interrogation she falls ill. When Junior starts to confirm her suspicions that something is off with Barbie and her missing husband she finds a way to leave the hospital. She heads up to the cabin where Barbie killed her husband and when she finds some mysterious papers she passes out from the illness. Barbie finds out that Junior told her about the cabin, so he heads out there to find her. When Barbie gets there, he finds her passed out on the floor and carries her to safety. When Julia comes to she tells Barbie that she learned that her husband had emptied their bank accounts and the house is in foreclosure. Barbie tells Julia that he was an enforcer for a bookie and when she tells him that she doesn’t believe her husband was a gambler he provides proof. She begs to know where her husband is and he lies to her saying that he must’ve skipped town. Julia tells him that he needs to find another place to stay.
Angie takes the scissors she stole from Junior and tries to stab him (great idea, kill the only person that knows you’re there), but he takes them from her and she’s in an even worse situation then before. People are asking questions about Angie’s whereabouts, but not enough to start really searching for her. She climbs on the top bunk and starts screaming out of the vent, but she falls on the floor and pulls out a water pipe. Jim hears Angie screaming and investigates the bomb shelter where Angie is staying to find her chained to a bed.
Norrie’s mom is trying to uncover the mystery behind her daughter and Joe’s weird seizures, but Norrie realizes there’s a connection to them touching when they happened last. They decide to touch again and they both have another attack and once they are over they both decide to keep the information to themselves.
