‘The X Factor’ USA: Hear Fifth Harmony’s ‘Me and My Girls’ (audio)
So what does this song really entail? Basically, it should feel very much familiar to any of you out there who listened to their first hit on repeat over and over again. The song is really at its core a feel-good pop anthem about having fun with your friends, and doing the sort of silly things that you don’t really do when guys are around. There are allusions to Justin Bieber and One Direction music, pajamas, taking selfies, and a number of other things that would not be a part of the world of music back even in 2010.
As for knowing their market, the ladies seem to have that down pat. This song is catered specifically to that teen girl market who likes Niall Horan and company, with Simon Cowell knowing that these same consumers want to also have a girl-band made up of people that they want to look up to and be friends with. There’s also some great vocals in here, and a bridge that features a few breakdowns.
We don’t know if this song will be used as a second single or a pre-order bonus, but it is something worth watching out for. We’ll have some more news on it when it becomes available.

Uptempo beat is fun but the song is horrible. No creativity, no originality and again hardly any harmony like Miss Movin On, I’m a fan but if this is the type of music they’re going to put out there I’m gonna pass and spend my money on something worth listening to

Why are they having free shows at best buy and malls? They are mostly free, but you have to buy like Cds. How are they going to make money if the girls don’t sell that well on iTunes…I’m so worried. I want them to do so good.

Dont worry its all promotion and the best part is 5H is doing it all by themselves. Cant say the same thing for E3 since they’re going on tour with Selena.

The beginning sounds exactly like their first single “Miss Moving on”. This song is way worst. I mean, Was it made for the tween demographic? Because I’m 19 and this sounds like a kids song. 80% of the song is so cheesy and the only good part is the bass drop, but that’s such a rip off of “Pop that” by French Montana, they just say “Me and My girls” over that part. how UNORIGINAL. 5H fans put down Emblem3 and made fun of them over and over again. Here’s to hoping your group just flops just as much. Karma. hope you all get it back.

You’re just an emblem who’s butthurt about 5H’s Success and thousands of harmonizers love this song. Me and my girls is original, the lyrics themselves prove that they wrote it and its a SMASH!! And btw Thousands of songs used the bass drop even before pop that so your argument in that is invalid. I’m a fan of E3 and 5H but if fans like you keep acting like this then I’m probably gonna have to rethink of about the Whole Emblem fandom. At least 5H don’t have to rely on their looks to sell records and plus their voices beat the E3 guys by a long shot no offence. Btw I’ve just turned 18 and I love this song. I’m hoping E3 and 5H can have amazing success but I feel like bitchy fans like you will get in the way of that. -_-
