‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: The premiere title and video game connection
Are you ready for the season 2 premiere of “Arrow”? Well, let’s hope you are the patient type, given that Oliver Queen will not be back to awesomely attack those who have “failed this city” until October 9 on The CW.
However, we can at least tell you a pair of important details regarding the show. First and foremost, the season premiere (per SpoilerTV) is going to be entitled “City of Heroes,” which anyone who loves video games will know is also a title of a popular online RPG. Unfortunately, we don’t imagine that you are going to be able to start up this episode by creating your own superhero and customizing your costume (which was admittedly our favorite part of that game).
This episode will also feature the arrival of a new important character in Adam Donner, the Assistant District Attorney who is also going to be Laurel’s new boss. This means that we will be seeing somewhat of a change for Katie Cassidy’s character, at least in that she will be going from defending individual persons to trying to prosecute them. In a literal sense, that is much more of a crime-fighting profession, no? The only complication that comes into it is that not every person who is brought in for trial ends up being a guilty party at all. Let’s just hope that this is a step along the path that will take her to becoming the Black Canary.
This is not the only major “Arrow” news to break this week; as you may or may not have heard, Oliver is going to also be facing off this season against a rather feared woman, and she will be played by “Firefly” and “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” alum Summer Glau.
