‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Fifth Harmony, James Arthur, Carly Rose Sonenclar

The X Factor LogoWe’re kicking off this edition of “The X Factor” notes with the latest update from Fifth Harmony’s Seventeen Magazine series, and this video focuses primarily on the recent birthday girl in Ally.

What we do particularly enjoy about these videos is getting an opportunity to get a grasp on each of the group member’s individual personality and style, which sometimes can be very difficult to get a grasp just on the basis of watching a few videos of the group as a whole. Ally and the rest of the ladies are currently bracing for the epic release of their single “Miss Movin’ On” to iTunes, which is going to happen beginning on Tuesday of next week.

Hear James’ new studio session – What we’re digging right now about some of James Arthur’s upcoming album is that he is getting an opportunity to record some music that he wrote even before he came on the British version of the show. One of these songs is “Last Time,” and you can see it featured in his latest official video from the studio.

For those of you who haven’t heard it, it’s a nice song that really characterizes James’ abilities as a singer and also a storyteller; if you’re reading this article from America and have never really heard of James, we recommend you start looking up some of his videos on YouTube. You’re going to be a pretty happy camper as a result.

Carly’s latest studio session – Just in case you were wondering about Carly Rose Sonenclar’s time in the studio, she’s still working at it following a string of recent concerts. Just check out her latest tweet for some evidence of that:

“Studio with @shamishere @LilEddieSERRANO @mos_art!! I. Can’t. Wait. To. Show. You. What. We. Are. Working. On.”
