Grey’s Anatomy season 23 premiere date: A June 2026 update
As we do move ever deeper into the month of June, is there a chance we will hear more about a Grey’s Anatomy season 23 premiere date?
If you have read some of the headlines regarding the medical drama already, then you are likely aware of the notion that there are big changes ahead. How can there not be given what we saw at the end of last season? Both Owen and Teddy are gone from the show now; will anyone else join them? We hope not! We recognize that Scott Speedman may still be limited due to his role on RJ Decker. Meanwhile, Ellen Pompeo will likely have some sort of fluid episode count similar to season 22.

Unfortunately, we are heading into a stretch the rest of the month now where getting other insight on the future is unlikely. If ABC does choose to reveal exact premiere date this month, it is likely to be more close to the end than it is the beginning. In general, though, we would anticipate any sort of larger announcement to come at some point moving into the month of July.
Will there be some new additions?
Given that we are losing some major characters, it would hardly be a shock in the event that something like that happened. However, at the same exact time, we would not sit here and say that Grey’s Anatomy necessarily needs that. Just remember that this is a series that has so many other characters still, and they could shift simply into giving each one of them a little bit more to do and also allowing us to have more guest stars to fill the gaps.
