‘The View’: See Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s farewell to Barbara Walters, panel
As you first found out about yesterday, Elisabeth Hasselbeck made the big announcement that not only was she leaving “The View,” but that today was going to be her very last show. When it comes to timing, that is certainly sad, to say the least. Why leave in the middle of the week, especially since Joy Behar is going to be sticking around until the start of the new season? The only sensible answer that we can think of is that she is planning to spend the next bit of time to ingratiate herself into the Fox News world, and also spend some time with her family.
Hasselbeck confirmed her exit Wednesday in a sit-down chat with some of her fellow co-hosts, and she thanked them, Fox News, and the crew in a lengthy goodbye video that you can see below:
“First of all, I’m really happy and excited to confirm that, indeed, I will be joining the Fox & Friends team in September … Today is officially my last day at The View. For a decade, I’ve been able to work efficiently at this table only because everyone behind the scenes as worked more efficiently.”
Hasselbeck was quick to single out the likes of Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg for their support and respect, even if the group has long disagreed on just about everything when it comes to politics. Hasselbeck was a polarizing member of the panel; we think she was probably good for the sake of drama, even if she was polarizing for many at home.
What’s your reaction to Hasselbeck leaving the show: Are you happy, sad, or somewhere in between? If you want to read some more news related to her exit from the show, we advise that you head on over to the link here.
