The Four Seasons season 3: Will David Tennant have major role?

At the time of this writing, there is no official renewal for The Four Seasons season 3 over at Netflix. With that being said, can we still hope?

Well, for now, let’s just say that we are trying our best to remain excited, especially given that Anne had a pretty exciting cliffhanger at the end of the season 2 finale. Not only did she opt to stay in Italy, but she also may have encountered a new love interest played by … David Tennant? For now, it does feel like there are some exciting romantic possibilities to explore here.

To see some more insight right now on what all could be coming, just take a look at what co-creator Tracey Wigfield had to say per Deadline:

“Anne obviously has been on a journey in Season 1 and then Season 2 as well, you know, she’s trying to be Anne 2.0 and have this sort of personal renaissance, but it’s not going great. So there was something really exciting when we were thinking about a cliffhanger for a possible Season 3 of having a romantic cliffhanger, and someone that you would get so excited to see more stories with.”

This absolutely does make us think that there is a really good chance that we are going to be seeing a lot more of Tennant moving into season 3 — or at the very least, that makes a great deal of sense based on what they have set up. Now if you are the Doctor Who alum, why wouldn’t you want to be a big part of this story? It certainly feels like it is going to be an opportunity to do some different material than what you are often known for.
