The Vampire Lestat promo: See Sam Reid, star-power galore
With the premiere of The Vampire Lestat coming to AMC one week from Sunday, we of course recognize that there are endless reasons for excitement.
First and foremost, remember just how good the two seasons of Interview with the Vampire were. From there, recognize that much of the cast and crew from that show is coming back, and that includes the production mastery of Rolin Jones. This is a series that has no issue reinventing itself, whether it be with its style, its tone, setting, or just about anything else.

Are the changes entering The Vampire Lestat more radical than ever before? Sure, but you can also argue that they have to be for a number of different reasons. This is a series meant to center around Sam Reid’s character, one that will be big, bold, and at times hedonistic as he adopts a rock-star persona and tours around in order to take some of his power back. The presence of Daniel Molloy’s book changes things greatly, and as it very well should.
If you head over to the link here, you can see another preview (this time via Rotten Tomatoes) that gives you a slightly better sense of what is ahead here, especially when it comes to the style and sense of power present this time around. We certainly do appreciate just how unabashedly AMC is going for it when it comes to promoting this version of the story. They are not holding back in their suggestion that this will be a totally-different iteration of the show from what we have seen in the past. Here is to hoping that is a key for further success.
