America’s Got Talent video: Lai Noelle gets Golden Buzzer for audition
In just a matter of days you are going to see the premiere of America’s Got Talent arrive over on NBC — why not celebrate with a new audition?
If you head over to the link here, you can see a sneak preview featuring Lai Noelle, a 14-year old singer who manages to make Simon Cowell press his Golden Buzzer following a thrilling performance of “Die On This Hill” by Sienna Spiro. She has a huge voice and just from that alone, it feels like she’s going to be in this industry for a rather long time. She could be destined for stardom and even if it doesn’t happen right away after this season, we could see her coming on another singing show down the line. We almost wish there were more opportunities during the season to actually hear her perform!

Now that we’ve laid all of this out, we should go ahead and note that Noelle is very-much worthy of a Golden Buzzer. However, is the show leaning into them too much at this point? We know that there are going to be THREE of them within the premiere itself, and the whole idea of this is that you want them to be special. If you get too much of them, at a certain point they do start to become a little less special.
(Now that we’ve said that, we do recognize why NBC is promoting the premiere the way that they are — they want viewers to feel like they are seeing something that they haven’t before. Delivering three Golden Buzzer moments in a single episode is a great way to make that happen.)
