‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: How will Yvonne Strahovski’s Hannah return?
For just about every fan of “Dexter” out there right now, it should not come as much of a surprise at all that Hannah McKay is returning. She has been featured in some teaser videos for some of the episodes ahead, and to go along with that, her return was announced in a ton of reports many months ago.
So what will we end up seeing from the character? There are a number of ways to touch on the subject, but perhaps more importantly is why Yvonne Strahovski’s character is returning. She already knows that Dexter chose his sister over her, so we don’t quite understand what is in it for her to come back, even if she loves the guy. (She surely doesn’t want to be behind bars, does she?)
Speaking about this very subject to TVLine, executive producer Sara Colleton claims that Hannah will be back in a “very interesting way,” and also added the following super-cryptic message:
“These two people were like magnets, and sometimes that can be attractive, sometimes that can be repulsive. But it will definitely be part of Dexter’s emotional journey to experiencing what being a human being is all about.”
On a personal note, we are leaning much more towards the “repulsive” end of the spectrum this time around. If Hannah gets an inkling that her freedom could be in danger, she could come back and attack the people who have wronged her. While we know that Hannah is a killer, she’s more of a survivalist than someone who does it for fun. If Dexter, Deb, or anyone stands in her way, she will try to take them down.
What’s your theory on the return of Hannah? As per always, we want to hear your thoughts! Also, be sure to click here if you want to also see some more scoop on the “Dexter” episodes ahead.
