The Testaments season 1 episode 10 (finale): Cliffhanger hopes

In just a matter of days we are going to be diving into the world of The Testaments with season 1 episode 10 — are you ready at all for the finale? This is where so many parts of the story could hit the fan all at once and we are left with something that could be surprising, emotional, and so much more all at once.

Obviously, it is hard to not view the finale through the lens of what just happened to Becka. How could she survive being taken by the Eyes? Is there a way for her to have a path forward? That is a really tough thing to figure out but beyond just that, we also do wonder if we are going to be seeing any more cast members from The Handmaid’s Tale. There is also the chance of a huge cliffhanger to set the stage for what is ahead.

Now, it is worth noting here that at the time the finale was first put together, there was no official season 2 renewal at Hulu. However, executive producer Bruce Miller and others have said for a while that there is a multi-season plan at the heart of the story. They also likely had confidence that the season would be successful and that they could end with a big tease for what could be next.

While it remains to be seen what a potential cliffhanger could be here, it does feel likely that we are going to get one. It could be about a quest to find Becka, just like it could be clarity on where Aunt Lydia or Aunt Vidala stands at this point. We do think that big Ann Dowd spotlight episode will prove important.
