The Vampire Lestat spoilers: The Daniel Molloy challenges

As we do prepare to see the premiere of The Vampire Lestat over on AMC next month, we recognize there are many storylines worth considering. Lestat is heading into a rock-star direction, Louis has a lot to sort out, and Daniel Molloy is now immortal. This is someone who also will have made plenty of enemies thanks to his book, so what is going to happen with him next?

Well, let’s just go ahead and say here that there are some hurdles that the character will have to overcome, and that includes adapting to a new part of his life.

Speaking about all of this further to TV Insider, here is some of what Eric Bogosian (who plays Molloy) had to say:

“It’s hard when you’re becoming a vampire, and you’re also already old and have already lived your life … He’s enjoying it, yes, but Daniel’s in some pretty deep water. This is like getting invited to the fraternity, and they all want to haze you all the time. It can be rough at times for poor old Daniel.”

In general, it is our sentiment that the third season will feel both old and new all at once. With Lestat at the forefront of the new chapter (in addition to his new life), there are going to be a lot of moments where the series adopts an extremely different tone from what it had before. However, at the same time, you also do not want to abandon the darkness or the character development of the first two seasons, as there is so much exciting stuff that can come out of that still.
