The Testaments season 1 episode 8 preview: Is a wedding ahead?

As we look here towards The Testaments season 1 episode 8 on Hulu next week, there are a number of things to say.

So where do we start? First and foremost, let’s just go ahead and note that there are only three episodes left and through that, it feels fair to assume huge things are coming. We recognize now the terrible reality that Agnes may be stuck getting married to Commander Weston, an absolutely terrible man. Meanwhile, Daisy seems to have avoided getting caught, but at what cost? If she wants to achieve something big in Gilead, it definitely feels as though time could be running out. After all, she is outnumbered and the Commanders are relentless.

As Agnes is swept up in wedding plans, Daisy hides a life-altering secret, and Hulda faces backlash after speaking out.

One of the larger questions that we still have is whether or not there is a way for many of Agnes’ classmates to work together and figure out a future of their own, given that a lot of them have at least some information that could make them inclined to work together. Daisy of course is Mayday, Agnes does not want to marry Weston, Garth is a plant, and Becka does not ant to be married at all. The problem is clearly that Gilead is one of those places where trust does not come easy — in other words, it can be incredibly hard to be on the same page with anyone. You have to be careful given that one wrong move can easily lead to your death.
