‘So You Think You Can Dance’: Paula Abdul, Erin Andrews to guest judge
When “So You Think You Can Dance” airs their performance show on Wednesday night, we’re definitely going to see a little bit of a different panel than we have so far during the live shows.
According to a series of posts from Nigel Lythgoe on Twitter, the first big news is that Paula Abdul will be joining the panel! He has been trying to get the former “American Idol” judge (who of course has an extensive dance background) on the show for quite some time, and it’s a relief to finally see it happen. Paula of course had her own dance show briefly in “Live to Dance,” and also was a part of the “Dancing with the Stars” guest panel for a week, following her time on “The X Factor” for a season alongside Simon Cowell. This should be fun.
Meanwhile, Nigel also said that Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews will also be on the panel, which is a little bit more of an interesting choice to us. We know that Erin can entertain more than the average person on the sidelines, but we don’t really know if her stint on “Dancing with the Stars” makes her a judge on the same level as Paula or some of the others that have been on the show over the years. Then again, she could bring some athletic chops to the show, and talk about the dancing more from a physical standpoint while everyone else focuses on the artistry.
Now, we just have to ask the question that has been on our mind all year long: Where in the world is Lil C? We need some “buckness” on this show again!
