‘Dexter’ season 8, episode 3 preview: Is Deb really going to confess?

DexterThis week on “Dexter” season 8, we saw an episode that really started to push forward the relationship between Dexter and Dr. Evelyn Vogel, which we like to think of as one that could become increasingly interesting as this season progresses.

So what are we going to see next? Basically, an episode that could very well be considered as a form of therapy for both Dexter and his sister. In the promo below, you can take a first look at their latest attempt’s to bond, which shows that Jennifer Carpenter’s character hitting the bottle could have some serious ramifications.

The relationship between Deb and Dexter is going to fascinate Dr. Vogel for a number of reasons, with one of the primary ones being rather simply: Why didn’t Dexter kill her when she found out about his secret? He’s letting someone walk who has the capacity to tell the truth, and unlike the other living people who know his secret (i.e. Lumen or Hannah), she could actually spill the beans on it thanks to some sort of moral stance. We find it very strange that Dr. Vogel would even suggest something like Dexter killing Deb and we have become a little suspicious of her true intentions.

In speaking of the idea of confessing, this may be the episode that we finally see it: Deb trying to come clean over everything that has happened, including her murder of LaGuerta, and what will be the end for Dexter Morgan in the free world. Can he stop her? It’s going to be difficult; every person has a breaking point, and we are pretty sure that Deb likely hit hers months ago.

What do you want to see on “Dexter” next week? We want to hear your thoughts below! We’ll have our full review for the episode up soon, and you will be able to check it out here along with some other news.
