As many of you may be aware at this point, Shrinking season 3 episode 10 is going to be coming to Apple TV in a few days … and this one is especially emotional. This is the penultimate one of the season and for Alice in particular, this is going to be one of the most important stories in the entire show.

After all, she is about to graduate! This is a huge stepping stone for her future, but also a time where everyone is going to be emotional.

If you head over to Broadway World right now, you can see a sneak preview further hyping up everything that is going to come on the show moving forward, including Jimmy and Alice getting teary-eyed about Tia before the ceremony. They have gone through so much to get to this point but during graduation itself, they want to come across as positive and optimistic about the future. They are each clearly aware of the fact that all eyes will be on them for a number of people there.

There is one other wrinkle to this situation that we are curious as to how Shrinking will address it: The fact that Jimmy’s dad Randy (Jeff Daniels) will not be there. Based on what we saw in this past episode, he is opting to spend some time on a fishing trip, thinking that this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to actually more important. Jason Segel’s character knew that would be heartbreaking to Alice, especially since she really has not been exposed to that particular side of him. It is, unfortunately, something that Jimmy knows all too well.

No matter what happens in this Shrinking, just know this: It is almost sure to carry directly in the finale.
