‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5: Ian Somerhalder arrives back in Atlanta
Just for confirmation that Ian is in fact back in the United States, just check out what the actor had to say in a new post on his Twitter account:
“Wheels down, feet on American soil! An intense [and] amazing experience; 3 continents, 8 countries in 2.5 months – thank you world for being so good to me”
In case you are wondering why Ian chose to travel so much at this time, the simple answer is that he is probably aware that there will not be that many opportunities available for him to do so in the near future. Just look at his production schedule now, which includes multiple months of “Vampire Diaries” shooting with little breaks here and there. Typically, filming runs for this show from mid-July until around either the end of April or early May, depending on the episode count and whether or not there are any production delays.
