One Piece season 3 premiere date hopes over at Netflix

Following the launch of season 2 this week on Netflix, is there a whole lot more that we can share when it comes to a One Piece season 3?

Well, to keep things frank here, let’s just start off by saying a definite “yes.” The anime / manga adaptation has already been confirmed for another season; not only that, but production is actively underway! We know that the cast took a brief break to promote season 2 but in the aftermath of it, they can all resume some of their previous duties. We certainly imagine that season 3 will be bold, dramatic, fun, and full of adventure with a number of new faces turning up.

Now as for when you are going to see the third season premiere, the best news we can give right now is honestly not that complicated: Netflix is clearly trying to reduce the wait between seasons. Because filming is already underway it does open the door for a 2027 return; with that being said, we would bank on late summer / early fall rather than any point sooner. After all, it is worth remembering that even when filming is done, there is still a lost of post-production that will need to be concluded.

When could we learn about a season 4?

Our personal hope is that if the ratings are strong enough for season 2, it could get a green light later this year so that production will kick off far in advance — allowing further for less time between seasons. There is certainly enough material out there to keep the greater One Piece world going in this live-action format for a rather long time.
