‘Dexter’ season 8, episode 2 preview: How do Dexter and Deb face off now?
Another episode of “Dexter,” and we have another face-off between our two leading characters to go along with it. Noticing a pattern here? You really should. Dexter and Deb have assumed roles that are more adversarial than anything else as of late, and while there may still be hope for the future when it comes to these two, it is impossible to ignore just about everything that they have been through as of late.
The latest culmination of their long-standing problems? A dead body, that came as a result of Deb ironically trying to get away from her brother and into the private-eye game. This is going to be roped into the story yet again for this upcoming episode, and Dexter is also going to start to “clean up” some of his sister’s messes. (Yes, this very thought alone is funny given how many messes Dexter is clearly responsible for already.)
By the end of this episode, we do expect at least part of the picture to be a little bit clearer. Hopefully, we will have an opportunity to see these two on better terms again before the finale, even if that seems to be a pretty impossible task, given the history that is already there. Dr. Evelyn Vogel (or, as we like to call her, Dexter’s new frenemy) will try to get him to open up about some of his feelings here, but that is definitely easier said than done. The fact that she’s pretty creepy, and holds information over Dexter’s head already, probably does not help.
