Alien: Earth season 2 premiere date hopes after filming news
Are we at a point now where we have at least a little more clarity on the Alien: Earth season 2 timeline over at FX and Hulu? Well, let’s just say that signs are pointing in that direction.
After all, consider the following — we do at least have an approximate sense now as to when filming is going to begin! Speaking recently per Deadline, star Sydney Chandler (who plays Wendy on the show) indicated that as of right now, the plan here is for production to kick off at some point in May. If you are not aware, filming is shifting this season from Thailand over to London, where it will be set at the iconic Pinewood Studios. For those unaware, there are a multiple Alien movies that have filmed around this spot in the past. We do think we’re going to see a story full of fantastic creatures, violence, and plenty of surprises.

So with this sort of filming date in mind, are we in a spot where we can understand a little bit better when the show will come out? To a certain extent, the answer that we have here is yes … but it feels like it’s going to be a long time. This show takes a good bit of time to film, and that’s without mentioning the editing, visual effects, or anything else. We tend to think that we’ll be lucky at this point to see it back in late summer / early fall 2027, and it could easily be later than that.
Is spending more than two years between seasons a tough thing for TV? Yes, but here is your reminder that with viewer expectations so high, it is hard to move anything faster.
