‘Game of Thrones’ season 4: Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage confirmed for Comic-Con

Emilia ClarkeWe assumed that there were going to be some major challenges that unfolded in getting the “Game of Thrones” gang to all come to Comic-Con, especially when you consider the fact that the schedules are all over the place with the show, and you have so many people really shooting in several different parts of the world. This was one of the reasons why there were several notable actors missing from the roster last year, and while the just-announced panel still contains a few omissions, this is by and large a pretty comprehensive list of major players for the series.

You may have already heard that the panel will take place on Friday, July 19 from 2:50 until 3:45, and the roster includes such people as John Bradley as Samwell Tarly, Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Jaime Lannister, Emmy-winner Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister, Michelle Fairley as Catelyn Stark, Kit Harington as Jon Snow, Rose Leslie as Ygritte, and Richard Madden as Robb Stark.

Judging from this list, it seems like there could be more time spent talking about season 3 than necessarily looking forward to season 4, given what happened with the Red Wedding. But HBO surely must have not been able to contain themselves over the thought of getting this gang back together one last time to talk about this event, especially when you consider how it is now thought about as one of the most-shocking moments in the history of television.

The only people we can point out off the top of our head as major omissions here include most of the children, Lena Headey as Cersei, and even Jack Gleeson as Joffrey. Just getting Dinklage (who limits his promotional appearances through the year) to show up is an achievement in itself.
