Shrinking season 3 episode 4 spoilers: Michael J. Fox returns
Just in case you needed another reason to be excited heading into Shrinking season 3 episode 4, we have it in the form of Michael J. Fox!
After being a part of the first episode of the season, the iconic actor is going to be returning for the upcoming “The Field” episode as Gerry. However, there are still some interesting questions to ask here, with one of the biggest being exactly what form the character is going to take in the larger story.

After all, there are basically two different versions of the Gerry character we have seen so far. First and foremost, you have the version that emerged early on in the premiere, where we saw the character spend a little bit of time with Paul — and also share some of his own experiences with Parkinson’s disease. However, later Paul hallucinated him after his wedding, a reminder that there are other symptoms of his disease that people do not commonly discuss.
In what form will Gerry appear next? We are left to wonder that at present, but we are certainly excited for whatever the future could look like from here on out. This is someone who could actually make life a lot easier on Harrison Ford’s character as he manages a long and difficult road ahead. Obviously Paul has a great support system already, but there is a difference between getting their advice and then also being alongside someone who has walked a very similar walk to you.
(For those who are wondering, episode 4 will not be Fox’s final appearance on the show — this is a legitimate arc, which excites us given that he has not been on a show in some time.)
