The Pitt season 2 episode 7 preview: A breakdown coming?

As we prepare for The Pitt season 2 episode 7 on HBO Max next week, it is not lost on us that we are nearing the halfway point of the season. This certainly means that a number of stories are going to only heighten and get more intense from here on out.

For Dr. Robby, let’s just say that it also gives us all the more serious causes for concern.

After all, we do think the character is basically a teapot waiting to blow this season. He keeps trying to repress his issues, whether it be Langdon’s return, losing a well-known patient like Louie, or even his own mental-health challenges. At some point, we do tend to think that a lot of this is going to mount if things get too busy at the hospital, and it is still rather weird that nobody is really speaking about what happened at Westbridge as of yet.

Beyond Robby’s own issues, we are worried about a few other characters, as well. Take newcomer nurse Emma, who does not seem fully ready to handle everything being thrown at her on the job. Could she quit? Meanwhile, is there a chance Dr. Al-Hashimi pushes this AI stuff so hard that she ends up getting removed, forcing Robby to delay his sabbatical? Is something going to force Dr. Abbot to come back to work soon? These are things that we are left to wonder.

Perhaps the biggest question of all

What in the world is happening with Mel? We get the idea that the producers are really spacing out certain character arcs, but she has had almost nothing to do so far this season. We hope that this changes in the near future.
