Bridgerton season 4 episode 5: A Benedict declaration ahead?
As we wait for the arrival of Bridgerton season 4 episode 5 a little later this month, there are certainly a number of different things on our mind. What’s a big one? Well, from where we stand here, it is how exactly Benedict can manage to get Sophie Baek back.
After all, it makes zero sense for her to want to be with him after the whole offer to be his mistress, which is both disrespectful and heartbreaking at the same exact time. This is a man who we think does have feelings for her, but is also allowing societal convention to hold him back from something that he could otherwise want.

So is there any logical way for him to get past this? Well, if so, we tend to think it comes down to seeing how bold Benedict wants to go to show that he wants her to be with him. You can argue that he will go back to her with a marriage proposal, but would that be enough? It is why we wonder if he will do something super-public as a way to demonstrate that Sophie’s status in society means nothing to her. Yet, there are even risks that come with that, mostly in that he may not want to lead to specific feelings of embarrassment.
What we are ultimately trying to say here is rather simple, and that is that figuring out the right way to handle this situation is not altogether easy. Our feeling is that Benedict will take some time to do a little reflection, and then put some plans in action. There are only four more episodes this season, so he has to move quickly.
