‘Glee’ season 5: More scoop / Michael Bolton silliness from Jane Lynch

If you’ve been waiting for more news on “Glee” season 5, you’re not alone: Executive producer Ryan Murphy and his writers have been very quiet this summer about what is coming up for the story, perhaps even more so than what they have been in the past. What is the reason for that? One possibility is simply that producers are afraid of news getting out early about some of the plots, or because they are still waiting to figure some of it out during the breaking process.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter designed to promote her upcoming NBC game show “Hollywood Game Night,” Lynch explained that she still knew “nothing” about the story, save for the fact that producers have picked up her contract so that she will remain a regular part of the show. She also talked about the new campaign to get Michael Bolton to come on as the biological father of her child, given that this was the shocker revealed at the end of the season:

“I’m not sure he even knows about Glee, but who knows. I hope he’s flattered because that’s what it was meant to be.”

In case you haven’t heard or read much about “Hollywood Game Night”, what makes it interesting is that it basically combines celebrities with the classic game-show experience, and tries to be as great of an environment as possible for contestants to earn some money, but also have a blast in the process.
