The plan moving forward is to shift back to the normal timeslot, but also of course to generate a lot of drama. The investigation into the fire is still ongoing, which has to make this one of the longer-term dramatic threads the series has done for a while. We knew it was not going to be easy on Nathan, but who knew it would actually throw him into some serious trouble?

At this point, we’re basically going to stop predicting when the whole fire storyline will be over. What we do at least hope is that as we hit every beat of this story, there are also opportunities to learn a few things about other characters, as well. Also, of course some relationship updates and heartwarming moments! These are the reasons why the Erin Krakow series has been as popular as it has for so long — and also the reasons why it has already been renewed through season 14.
