The Pitt season 2 episode 5 preview: Where is the baby story?
With The Pitt season 2 episode 5 airing on HBO Max tomorrow night, this does feel like proper time to examine the story through the lens of what we’ve seen so far.
After all, one of the real strengths of the show is how certainly storylines can come and go without warning. Here are just some we are actively monitoring: Santos is worried that she will have to repeat her year, Ogilvie just got humbled, Dr. Al-Hashimi is trying to make her presence felt, Mel has an impending deposition, Whittaker has more confidence, Langdon is back, and Robby is doing everything he can to avoid him while also planning his sabbatical / motorcycle trip that he feels will somehow fix a lot of his larger issues. All of this is without even mentioning the patients we have come to meet so far.

Are there a couple of standouts in this department so far? Certainly, whether it be Louie or the baby; however, the latter has gone somewhat MIA as of late. What we know is that the Jane Doe is being cared for at the hospital while security attempts to get to the bottom of how they were left there. It has not even been mentioned why Dr. Al had the reaction she did when looking at some results early on!
Do we think that the baby is going to play a big part before the season is over? Sure, but there are two different things at play.
1. When doing the sort of investigative work that is needed here, it can take a little bit of time. The Pitt is not trying to rush that.
2. Insofar as patients go, this is one of the best teases that they can offer up to keep people invested in the story.
