Well, first and foremost, we are going to be waiting a good while to see the medical drama back on the air. There is no installment next week, and to go along with that, no episode the week after. The reason for the long break here is rather simple, as it is tied to the Winter Olympics. This is something that we tend to get every four years, with the big reason for it being that ABC does not want to compete against this sort of show as competition.

So when are we going to be seeing Grey’s Anatomy back on the air? Well, the absolute earliest we are going to see it return is on Thursday, February 26. Unfortunately, this means that it could take some time before a lot of other insight is revealed regarding the future.
If there is a bit of good news in the midst of a long wait, it is simply this: When the show comes back, we are going to be a number of new episodes with fewer breaks in the middle of it. We imagine that there will be more drama, more medicine, and hopefully some nostalgia. This combination of things is one of the reasons why the series has lasted for so long.
Is there going to be a season 23?
Well, let’s just go ahead and say that it is pretty darn likely. However, it will be announced whenever ABC chooses to make that happen. We tend to think that whenever that the show does end, we are going to get a lot of buildup in advance so that we can be properly prepared.
