As we prepare now to see The Pitt season 2 episode 4 over on HBO Max, is some significant trouble about to come Dr. Santos’ way?

We do know that there is a good percentage of the fandom out there eager to see this character be humbled, and we understand why. Even despite her slip-ups in season 1 she is still very much arrogant, and that’s without getting into the way that she treats Victoria a lot of the time. She acts on instinct and we do think there are moments where it is great that a doctor does this. However, at the same time it could get her in some trouble.

Based on the latest preview for what lies ahead, though, it is not her instinct that gets her into any trouble. Rather, it is something as simple as not having all her paperwork done in a timely manner. Right after Santos acts Robby if they’re meant to like Dr. Al-Hashimi or not, the new arrival to The Pitt tells her that if she does not get her documents together in a more timely manner, she may have to repeat her year. That’s the sort of not-so-subtle threat that could easily set Santos off.

As for what else is coming up, it does seem as though one person is going to challenge Robby for his avoidance — something that we’ve clearly been seeing so far this season already. He is trying to just get through the day before going off on his sabbatical, but is he looking past some major issues with himself? There are so many things regarding trauma that he is just refusing to address and that is worrisome — especially since this day is almost certainly going to be worse before it gets better. We’ve already seen that there are going to be more patients routed over to the hospital, and nothing is going to get easier.
