‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Matthew Morrison talks Chris Colfer – Darren Criss storyline

Matthew MorrisonDo most of the “Glee” faithful want to see Kurt and Blaine together when this series comes to an end? We personally believe that answer to be a pretty defiant “yes.” However, there is a different between wanting two characters to be together, and to be married at some point in the immediate future. This is the dilemma that the show is facing now moving into the start of season 5, which ended on a pretty epic cliffhanger in which Blaine got himself an engagement ring, and thought about popping the question.

We’ve already heard that Chris Colfer is not particularly interested in seeing his character engaged to Darren Criss’ master of hair gel character of Blaine in the near future, if only because 18-19 is a very young age to be getting engaged. As it turns out, the man behind one of the show’s older characters agreed. Speaking in a chat with Digital Spy, Matthew Morrison made it clear that “Klaine” (as those shippers out there call them) would be better off taking their time more so than jumping into anything:

“I don’t think anybody should get married that young. It’s not a gay or a straight thing, it’s just being young, too young. I don’t think anyone should get married until they’re in their 30s.

“Probably the most growth you’ll ever have in your life [is in] high school and your 20s, because you’re kind of living on your own for the first time. There is so much exploration to do and self-exploration and I don’t think anyone should be getting married that young.”

Morrison’s Will Schuester is clearly celebrating his own recent marriage to Emma Pillsbury, and based on what we have heard on the actor already, he’d love for there to be a child enter the fold at some point in the future.

For those of you who were worried about Criss being absent from the official cast photo, you are probably overjoyed already to know that he is not actually going anywhere on the show. Meanwhile, the same can be said about Morrison, and Dot-Marie Jones will recur as Coach Beiste.
