AMC’s ‘The Killing’ season 3, episode 7 preview: First look at ‘Hope Kills’
When you are looking for someone to name as a suspect for a crime, it is a general rule that the last person that you want to accuse of any wrongdoing is a pastor. These are the people that most of the public are meant to have some sort of faith in. (Pun intended.) Unfortunately, we are about to find out something on “The Killing” season 3 concerning Pastor Mike that makes him even more of a suspect than he already was (and trust us, he was already a suspect based on what we saw with all of the girls at the end of Sunday night’s episode).
Next week’s installment is entitled “Hope Kills,” and you could view it as potentially symbolic for what we are about to see happen. Pastor Mike is a man that these women are supposed to believe in during their times of trouble, but he was lying to them about who he was in that he spends his days using a fake ID. When you preach the word of God, apparently this is not something that anyone really bothers to check.
While the investigation centers in more and more around this Pastor character, there are going to be plenty of struggles for everyone else. Kallie’s mother is going to continue to be desperate, Ray Seward may not have a major decision on his hands now that the police are truly starting to believe him, and even the street children have a role to play still in the story ahead. There may be some of them who still know this pastor, and can be witnesses to his claims.
