‘The Simpsons’ spoilers: Daniel Radcliffe to make second appearance for season 25
“Harry Potter” fans out there, rejoice! We are going to be seeing so much more of Daniel Radcliffe in what is his second-ever appearance on Fox’s “The Simpsons.”
According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Radcliffe is set to voice a character in one of the upcoming episodes in the comedy’s 25th season. Want to know more? Well, this is certainly why executive producer Al Jean is here! Check out what he has to say about Radcliffe’s Diggs, a boy older than Bart who spends a little bit of time with him:
“Diggs is a combination of Holden Caulfield, Finny from A Separate Peace and the kids in Lord of the Flies — only a little more screwed up,”
As for why Radcliffe was brought back for the gig, Jean had a pretty funny explanation why to go along with it:
“I had the pleasure of meeting him after one of his performances in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and he is one of the people who actually listens to Simpsons DVD commentaries. Also, he was terrific.”
There are some other major guest-stars coming on board “The Simpsons” for season 5, including the likes of Elisabeth Moss, Eva Longoria, and Will Arnett. As for whether or not this could be the end of the line for the show, Fox has yet to announce anything. We’re just glad that this show has found a way to still find funny moments 25 seasons in, even if not every episode that they put on the air these days happens to be a winner.
