Interview with the Vampire season 3 is in active production at AMC — so why not celebrate with additional details now?

While at San Diego Comic-Con this week, the folks at the network released a new sneak peek at the upcoming season, and it includes a new (or perhaps alternate?) title of The Vampire Lestat. That makes some sense given that the focus of the series is shifting radically at this point. After all, Daniel Molloy’s book is already out there, and that is actually a huge motivation for Sam Reid’s character to do what he does.

If you head over to the link here now, you can see a preview that cements further what the next chapter of this story is going to actually look like. Lestat is now unburdening himself on a nightly basis as a rock star, desperate to reclaim the narrative that he feels was taken from him because of the book. Reid mentions how excited he is for viewers to see a lot of new costumes, and he personally notes that he loves the opportunity to get to do something totally different and learn a number of different things. Music is an escape for a number of people out there, and that is certainly the case for this vampire as well.

Note that there is no premiere date yet for this chapter of the Anne Rice adaptation. However, we tend to think that spring or summer 2026 is a distinct possibility. In the meantime, there is the spin-off all about the Talamasca, and you really just have to hope that it will satisfy a lot of the cravings out there for at least a reasonable amount of time.
