‘NCIS’ season 11: Michael Weatherly working on official soundtrack
Michael Weatherly’s doing more than just preparing for “NCIS” season 11 as an actor; he’s also getting ready to include some music as a part of the show’s official soundtrack. There have been a pair of albums released already featuring music from the show (along with the official score), and it certainly looks like some more will be on the way.
Weatherly first confirmed the news in a Twitter post earlier this month about getting the opportunity to record the song, and this week he added to that a few extra details worth getting excited about:
“Mixing the song entitled UNDER THE SUN today… Very exciting. Producer Jimmy Harry is a gem. NCIS soundtrack will be crowded with melody…”
This is not the first time that Weatherly, who at one point in his early career had a band while he was pursuing acting jobs, has contributed a song to the soundtrack. He had a track in the second volume entitled “Bitter and Blue.”
There is no confirmed release date yet for the new disc, but if we were to base it solely off of past release patterns, our best guess would be that we would actually see this disc arrive in stores this holiday season. Obviously, the parties involved want to make it a hot holiday-shopping item, and the month of the November is the perfect place in order for that to happen.
Meanwhile, “NCIS” season 11 is going to start up filming in the weeks ahead. While there is still no confirmation yet on the future of Cote de Pablo, we still expect her to return as Ziva, the woman that everyone wants to see Tony with. Given that we’ve been waiting this long, isn’t it time for that to happen?

I’m so happy to read about MW’s new music. He’s an extremely talented artist and I’m looking forward to hearing his new work. I am, however, disgusted by yet another writer making sweeping comments about what “everyone” wants to see in the upcoming season. I’m very sure that a majority of the viewers either don’t care about ships or, like me, hope Ziva’s character doesn’t return at all. Why was that even included? MW’s achievement is newsworthy and he deserves high praise. Adding in speculation about a poorly written character and an ill-conceived relationship cheapens the article.

I would be very upset if Cote de Pablo did not return. The dynamics of the show would be definitly affected. 11 years will have been a huge run and all things must come to an end I guess. I actually am one of the 23 million that loveeee the Mossad storyline. I think if Mark Harmon, Cote or Michael Weatherly leave (the people with the most lines and storylines and interaction) the show to me will take a dip.

I love the entire cast. Ziva fits Gibbs team much better than Kate. (I much prefer seeing Sasha in Rizzoli & Isles). The team MUST stay together.

It’s a shame that none of the members of the cast can do anything without the article having to harp about Tiva and CdP. I look forward to Michael Weatherly’s new song. I could care less about Tiva.

I’m absolutely excited about Michael Weatherly’s new song on the NCIS soundtrack. He’s an extremely talented singer/songwriter as we’ve seen from his previous contribution and the freelink he provided us with of his other music.
I for one do not want to see the return of CdP, she’s highly overrated as an actress. She might have been an asset in S3-5, but the Ziva Show we’ve been seeing is a no-go as ratings have proven time and time again. Let’s get back to the original NCIS format – and more music from Weatherly and PauleyP is always welcome.

“we still expect her to return as Ziva, the woman that everyone wants to
see Tony with. Given that we’ve been waiting this long, isn’t it time
for that to happen?” Yes please! And can’t wait to hear Michael’s song on the soundtrack. Hope they use it in the show. I am still sad they never used Bitter and Blue from the last soundtrack.

I’d say based on ratings most viewers are happy with the cast just as it is now. The ratings have never been higher.
According to Mark Harmon in one of his recent interviews on EXTRA, the show got better when Cote joined the cast .
Some of the Tibbs, Tony/Gibbs shippers can’t bear the thought of Tiva Tony/Ziva. I say it’s way past time for Tony & Ziva to finally get together.

How hateful can you be? Just because I don’t want to see Tiva doesn’t limit me to being a fan of any other ship on the show.

I don’t want to see *any* romance between teammates on the show. Stop assuming that (a) everyone wants to see Tiva and (b) that everyone who doesn’t want to see it is a Tibbs shipper.

Can’t WAIT for MW’s latest music. I love the songs he’s put out for free. He’s so incredibly talented. I can’t wait to see what the rest of his career has in store for him, and by extension, for those of us who enjoy his work.
As for CdP, “everyone” doesn’t want to see her with Tony…or to even see her at all. Based on ratings, more want her to NOT return than actually want her to. (Most don’t care.) The character’s worthless and needs to be jettisoned to make way for some new blood.
