‘Homeland’ season 3 spoilers: DC and Damian Lewis questions
We already know that Damian Lewis is off in Scotland shooting some movie with a bald head, but our mysteries are more tied to “Homeland” in America … including when in the world Nicholas Brody is going to be back to sneer and make people uncomfortable. (Except for Carrie. She’s proven to be into it.) It’s been largely suggested that the Emmy-winner will have a smaller role, at least in the early days since there is only so much you can really give a man to do while he’s stuck in some sort of exile, free from anyone who knows who he is or what he looks like.
But will Lewis be back in America at some point to work on the show? If he has filmed any footage for the show yet, kudos to Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon for keeping it completely under wraps. Like Brody, Lewis has been a ghost. (Unlike Brody, he’s a nice and very funny man.)
We can confirm that as they have done before, the show is expanding beyond North Carolina (which is their base), and is reportedly doing some filming in Washington DC based on these calls. So why even bother to go back and forth between two cities, when you could have all of production done in one place? It’s really all about one thing: Money. North Carolina’s a very good place to shoot from a tax and location perspective, given that you are not forced to compete with the real Washington wackiness while shooting scenes designed to replicate their real locales.
You want more on what’s going on with Damian’s bald head? Yep, we even have that for you: A debate all about hair. “Homelnad” season 3 premiers on Showtime Sunday, September 29.
