‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: Anna Camp and that return you’ve been waiting for
Whenever Anna Camp comes to town, something good will follow. This is precisely what we expect from “True Blood” Sunday night, since you gotta believe that the Reverend Steve Newlin’s ex-wife is going to have some blood to suck, and she’s not even a vampire. She’s just a “Christian woman” who had some past flirtations with Jason Stackhouse, and it will be oh-so interesting to see where she is now.
To be honest, there has only been one time that we have seen “True Blood” fans get their blood pumping this much over a guest since Denis O’Hare returned last year. (Hopefully, Anna gets a better fate.) No matter what happens with the Sarah Newlin character, Steve’s portrayer Michael McMillain told TVLine that “[we] will get some insight into what happened in their marriage during Seasons 3 and 4… They have some unfinished business.”
To say “unfinished business” is a bit of an understatement, no? While Sarah cannot really get up in front of their pulpits and proclaim that she is the model of Godly behavior, her husband did become a vampire and an open homosexual, and started up some madness with Russell prior to the vampire finally dying. Steve’s been laying low ever since, mostly since he realizes just how terrible a situation that he is in right now. (Plus, there’s that whole issue of the world seeing Luna burst out of his body in the middle of a speech, which everyone will assume that he had something to do with.)
While it may be something completely different, this is not the only “True Blood” scoop we have for you now. Head over here if you want to read more on Pam and Eric, the best odd couple that this series has to offer.
